Now residing in London, David shares savvy and chic trends on his Instagram page showcasing his latest fashion looks mixed with the occasional (a lot) of topless beach and holiday photos to put me to shame and remind me to renew my gym membership come 1st Jan 2019!
Here’s what David had to say, enjoy.
Who is David?
I’m a nerdy super energetic guy originally from Los Angeles who calls London home. You can find me usually at the comic book store, shopping for clothes I don’t need, and depending on the time of day at a coffee bar working or sipping drinks with friends.
How did you start on your creative journey?
When I lived in LA I did a lot of commercial modeling. When I moved to London I began working in PR and I missed the whole photoshoots and creative work of modeling but I didn’t miss castings or having my career dictated by casting directors, etc. Then I saw the appeal of using Instagram to make a name for myself and put myself out there without having to wait for anyone. So that’ what I did and it’s not become what it is now.
What makes you want to get up on a morning?
I’m told I’m an individual who is always wanting to more and I can admit I’m a perfectionist at times. So every new day is an opportunity to grow and better myself than the previous day.
Favorite image taken of you and favourite brand you’ve worked with
I love this picture taken in Brasschaat, Belgium because I literally felt like a prince. Since it was winter and all the trees are without leaves it looks very much like a dark fairy tale which I love! I did a campaign with Ted Baker during the summer and that is one of my favorite brands so was very happy to finally work with them. They are right up my alley in terms of styling and aesthetic.
Ideal brand to work with down the line?
I’d love to start working with more luxury menswear brands such as Tom Ford, Gucci, Thom Browne, and Louis Vuitton. I’m putting that out there into the universe!
Where will we see you in 5 years?
Working with luxury menswear brands such as Tom Ford, Gucci, Thom Browne, and Louis Vuitton! LOL! In the next five years, I hope to be very much cemented as one of the main go-to male content creators working between London and LA!
Any pet peeves?
Some of my pet peeves are people who try to have a straight up conversation with me in the morning. I may wake up early for the gym and start moving but I’m not ready to have a full-on conversation when I’ve just woken up. I greatly dislike wet socks and living in London that can sometimes be an issue. If I accidentally step into a puddle or I get soaked in the rain and get wet socks it just puts me off – I have a thing with uncomfortable tactile experiences.
Advice to aspiring bloggers and creators out there?
Just do it. No one is going to do it for you. Just start creating and put it out into the world. Don’t judge yourself against others and don’t try to be like others. Be you cuz you’re the only one who can do that the best!
