A Gentleman's Lifestyle Guide to Fashion, Grooming, Health and Travel

Bombay Sapphire

For years now, I’ve had to deal with lazy and uneducated bar staff insisting that they serve me a gin, lime and lemonade without asking, one, my preferred choice of gin, 2 how much lemonade and 3 using cordial lime instead of a sliced lime. But hey, I’ll blame their manager for that.

Serving cordial with any alcoholic drink must be a sin, particularly when it comes to gin. I’ve tried an abundance of gins in my time and nothing comes close to the distinct sweetness and floral taste of Bombay Sapphire.

Mixed with a sweet tasting slice of lime the perfectly elegant and fruity flavours become very apparent once sipped. And, unlike other spirits, Bombay Sapphire is a gin that can be poured again and again.

If you don’t fancy Bombay alone then why not make your very own Gin Cocktail. My personal favourite, Southside, also known to be called a gin style mojito.

You’ll need:
50ml gin,
20ml lime
15ml sugar syrup,
6-8 mint leaves.

Drop the gin, fresh lime juice, sugar syrup and the mint leaves into your shaker then get your arms moving. Fine strain it into a glass that’s been chilled. Hold the ice and then add a sweet smelling mint leaf. Perfection.
